eve-onlineEVE Online’s Development Blog gave the first details of a new and upcoming patch for EVE Online, now that Apocrypha has been out for a few months and it is now stable and running almost flawlessly. When this happens, developers don’t start celebrating, but start working on the next big thing. Let’s see what that means in EVE Online terms!

The upcoming patch will focus mostly on the supply of tech III production materials, we are told. Things will start with advances in Reverse Engineering – both intact and malfunctioning relics will now reflect the greater ease with which current technology can be melded with the current tech, and the number of runs each blueprint will have has been increased, generally meaning that now any outcome will now be greater and better especially in meeting the overall costs of reverse engineering.

Also, Datacores and Decryptors will be increased, while some of the Fullerite volumes will be reduced in order to offer a much faster mining rate in the huge universe of EVE Online. There will also be added some changes to the Sleeper salvages, as well as some changes to the Fulleroferrocene Power Conduits material requirements. So, yes, a really “technological” patch this next one is going to be.

However, Chronotis did not announce a possible release date for the patch, but they do promise they will keep EVE Online players updated.
