Developed by the South Koreans at Wizet and published by Nexon, MapleStory comes with a really nice character creation feature: instead of simply choosing it like in most of the other RPGs, you have to first complete jobs and become the class of your choice (Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Pirate, or Thief.) No matter what class you choose, though, you will still have tons of fun: there are over 50 million people the game and socialization is an important part of MapleStory.
But there’s also monster slaying and character development: from quests to team fights, from playing mini games and earning money for better equipment and even virtual weddings, everything is possible in MapleStory, a little 2D game that doesn’t appear to be half as big as it really is when you first make contact with it. And it really seems incredibly huge and impressive sometimes…
So if you’re more of a fan of cute little visuals anime style and you would rather spend more time chatting than dueling huge monsters in 3D worlds, MapleStory might be the game you would like to try right now.
In order to do so, visit the game’s official website and select your country, but before you do it, check out a MapleStory gameplay trailer:
