forza horizon 2 picLoyal Forza Motorsport players are being rewarded with free cars in Forza Horizon 2, Turn 10 Studios and Microsoft have announced.

The level of reward given to players will be determined by their level in Forza Rewards, a system which tracks progress made across the Forza games and rewards players for doing anything, adding cars to your garage, driving a certain distance and winning races, for example.

There are up to five cars up for grabs when you first log into Horizon 2, and will be given out depending on the level tier the player has reached. The cars that are up for grabs are:

• Tier Level 2 – 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe
• Tier Level 3 – 2013 Viper GTS
• Tier Level 4 – 2015 Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4
• Tier Level 5 – 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter
• Tier Level 6 – 2013 McLaren P1

The rewards system runs through from progress made from Forza Motorsport 2 on the Xbox 360 through to Forza Motorsport 5 on the Xbox One.

The cars come in as a one-time bonus when you first log into Horizon 2, which will send you a message telling you which cars you have acquired.

Forza Rewards will continue its trend of giving players free content and in-game credits each month depending on their Rewards rank.

Forza Horizon 2 is coming out on the 30th September in North America and the 3rd October in Europe on Xbox One and Xbox 360. A demo is set for release on Xbox One on the 16th September.
