Borderlands was pretty successful – apparently, I am the only person in this world that didn’t like the game – so it’s only natural to think that the game’s developers, 2K Games, are planning to release a new game sometime in the near of far future. Borderlands 2 will certainly delight fans and an official announcement is highly anticipated.

Apparently, the company will announce the game during the Gamescom in Cologne, Germany this year: according to Eurogamer who got their info from an unnamed source, Borderlands 2 is already under development and will hit PCs worldwide sometime in 2012. Also, the game will be officially confirmed at Gamescom, so there’s just a little more left to wait.
