Titled Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition, the game is posted as a PS4 listing with a release date of January 24, 2014. A second listing is also posted on the website, though its platform is listed as “classified.”
Back in March the game managed to sell over 3 million units worldwide, though that did not satisfy Square Enix’s financial expectations for the title. A sequel to the game was green lit and confirmed and has been in development for several months now.
Any indication or rumor concerning a re-release for the game on next-gen platforms were scarce, until today.
The Defintive Edition will include the main game, all of the DLC, and an art book. No new single-player add-on content was released, leaving mulitplayer as the only form of DLC that will most likely be included in this edition.
The second platform marked as “classified” might very well be an Xbox One version, seeing that the game is also be released on the PS4. But we could be wrong, as a Wii U version was never released and this might be the game’s debut on Nintendo’s flagship system.
