banjopOne of the biggest problems with Rare’s Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts was the fact that on standard definition screens the text was obscenely small. Initially the developers stated that they have no intention to fix the problem, but eventually they changed their mind, mostly because the entire gaming community turned into a mass of raging people screaming in pain and anger.

Now, the problem is fixed thanks to a recent update on Nuts & Bolts which adds a new option under the display settings: the “Large Dialogue Text Option”. This, as you can imagine, solves the small text problems and various reports suggest that it even works better on high definition TVs, since it makes it much easier to follow what’s happening in the game, without risking to put too much pressure on your eyes.

Either way, it’s a good thing that Rare decided to fix the problem and deliver the patch just in time for Christmas. Well done!
