Obsidian might have their hands full of big game projects like Alpha Protocol for Sega and Fallout: New Vegas, but this doesn’t meant that the company can’t work on other projects, too. Actually, it has been confirmed in an interview with GameBanshee that during the past four months, Obsidian had worked on a game they can’t talk about.
The company’s CEO Feargus Urquhart said: “We have been working on another title for the last four months that we can’t talk about yet. It’s going really well though and the team is really excited. It’s using our own internal engine so we are really able to do things our way based upon everything we’ve learned about making RPGs in the past ten to fifteen years.”
Although he didn’t offer any solid details, he went on to state that this new internal engine will deliver better results than the Unreal Engine and at least this little bit of information should be enough to make us wait for more. It could be a long wait, though, but at least the prospect of yet another quality role playing game for the PC owners is really exciting!
