Sometimes I am simply amazed by the creativity of casual game developers who manage to expand one genre and create game after game without making it feel like a complete rip off and without pushing the player further away from the genre. Funnily enough, even though this rule stands with Steve the Sheriff 2, the same can’t be said about the game’s title.
Steve the Sheriff 2: The Case of the Missing Thing is the complete name of this hidden object casual game and, as you can see, it’s not something to really draw your attention (except for the situation in which you have played the original game which really kicked arse). But you can’t have it all, can you?
It the sequel, Steve the Sheriff comes back for an all new case in Neptuneville where the Mona Medusa is missing and it`s up to you to help Steve the Sheriff track down the thief and find the… thing. Use your Hidden Object skills to scour a multitude of screens, find key objects within the scene to solve fun adventure-style puzzles and solve one more quest in the adventure of seeing which games are a pain for your eyes (if you play them for too long).
Since I didn’t get the chance to play Steve the Sheriff 2: The Case of the Missing Thing yet, I don’t know if it’s as fun and well done as the original title which was one of the best hidden object games of 2008, but I know for sure that I’m willing to give it a try right away. If you want to do the same, head over to Big Fish Games and have fun!
