ice-age-dawn-of-dinosaurs-gameIce Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is the next movie-based computer game we’re getting from Activision and the publishers are planning to do a great job with it. Therefore, they have secured the services of the animation movie’s voice actors – Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah and Josh Peck – in order to deliver Ice Age fans a game that resembles the “reality” as much as possible.

“The actors have brought life and familiarity to these admired prehistoric Ice Age characters,” said Rob Kostich, head of marketing for licensed properties, Activision. “Their presence in the game brings authenticity to the experience, immersing players in the Ice Age movie universe.”

For the first time in an Ice Age game, players will be put in the shoes of multiple characters such as Manny the mammoth (Romano), Sid the sloth (Leguizamo), Diego the saber-toothed tiger, fan’s favorite Scrat and more. Players will also get gameplay tips from the wacky possum duo, Crash and Eddie (Peck), and Ellie the mammoth (Latifah). Each character features its own strengths and abilities, resulting in a wide variety of gameplay experiences as players work through the levels. There is also a multiplayer component, so I guess it’s safe to say that Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs will be a joy for kids of all ages. We’ll see for sure this summer, when the game is scheduled to hit stores.
