Batman arkham knight picBatman: Arkham Knight breaks a couple of records as it charges into first place in the UK All Formats Chart.

Firstly, the fourth Arkham game becomes the series’ best-selling game, beating 2011’s Batman: Arkham City’s week-one record. This is likely to have been because it is the first game in the series to get a Tuesday launch.

Arkham Knight also becomes this year’s biggest launch, with Chart Track claiming the title ‘comfortably’ beating previous holder The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. It manages 67% of its sales on PS4, with 33% on Xbox One.

This is Warner’s fourth number one this year, following LEGO Jurassic Park, Mortal Kombat X and Dying Light. They are the first publisher to manage at least four number ones in the first half of a year since EA managed it back in 2012, with FIFA 12, Kingdoms of Amalur, SSX, Mass Effect 3 and FIFA Street.

LEGO Jurassic Park is knocked down to second place this week, as The Elder Scrolls Online follows suit, down a spot to third.

Wii U exclusive Yoshi’s Woolly World gets a good start to its chart life, entering the charts in fourth place.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt falls two places to fifth this week, with Grand Theft Auto V down to sixth.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare holds its position in seventh, FIFA 15 tumbles three places to eighth and Destiny stays in ninth this week

A new entry rounds off the Top 10 this week with the PS4 and PC release Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward in 10th place.

Outside the Top 10, we have new entries in 13th, with MotoGP 15 entering the charts, and sneaking into the Top 20 is J-Stars Victory VS+, which debuts in 18th place.
