CD Projekt just posted the release dates for the Enhanced Edition of The Witcher.  According to the official website the Enhanced Edition of Witcher will be available in less than a week, on 16 September (in North America and on 19 September in Europe). Here you can see a video walkthrough presented at the GC 2008 in Leipzig.

The Enhanced Edition is basically just a patched version of The Witcher sold as a Collector’s Edition. CD Projekt promises that in this version we will have “more than 5000 lines of re0written and re-recorded dialogue, more than 200 new dialogue animations, a new character differentiation system for NPCs, an enhanced inventory with improved alchemy, reduced loading times, improved combat responsiveness and much more.”

Beside the game improvements this Edition comes with two new adventures: The price of neutrality and Side effects. Also, the package will include a Bonus DVD with:

  • D’jinii Adventure Editor that you can use to create your one personal quest in the Witcher world
  • over 180 minutes of the making-of process
  • the soundtrack CD of the game
  • an official game guide
  • a map of The Witcher world
  • The Witcher short story by Andrzej Sapkowski
  • I have to admit that the content of this Enhanced Edition is quite tempting, even if you already bought the first version of The Witcher.
