If you browsed a little while on the Xbox Live today you probably noticed the existence of an interesting red Xbox 360 console which apparently comes bundled with a copy of Resident Evil 5 and some other goodies. However, it was not clear if the red console really existed, or it was just a way of promoting the deal. Now we know: it does exist and it’s official!

The confirmation comes via Major Nelson who posted on his blog: “We’re happy to (officially) announce the Exclusive Red Xbox 360 Resident Evil Limited Edition Console.” He added: “Supplies are very limited, so if you want in on this action, you may want to pre-order soon.”

So, after all, what does this blood-red bundle include? Well, obviously the red Xbox 360 and controller, black Xbox 360 Headset, a 120 GB Hard Drive, exclusive premium “Resident Evil 5” theme (downloadable via Xbox LIVE), a copy of the game itself and a copy of Super Street Fighter II HD. Everything at NO additional charge ($399). So, yes, we can say that we have a real deal here and probably the numbers of the Resident Evil 5 demo downloads will be matched by full sales…
