It comes a time when any fanboy’s dream comes true and right now is Nintendo fans’ moment, with names like Zelda, Pikmin and Mario starting to be heard more than ever and not as rumors but solid, official facts. And good news all the way!

Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo’s Senior Managing Director and Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America President have been interviewed by a Latin-American magazine spotted by Australian website MyWii and they seemed to be pretty happy to offer a few details on Nintendo’s plans for the future, thus making us happy and the world a better place to live in. No, really now…

Miyamoto said that the upcoming Zelda game will be “somewhat special”, unlike the Twilight Princess which was not created with the motion sensitive Wii controls in mind. So I think that, whenever there’s improvement in sight, we can call this some really good news.

Another interesting note was made regarding the third game in the Pikmin series which, according to Miyamoto, has the Wiimote working “extremely well” with it. There are also some hints regarding a new Mario (or Metroid) game with gameplay similar to the original, but nothing is very clear on the matter. Nevertheless, some really promising news for Nintendo fans.
