pizza-morgana-screenIt appears that the adventure genre might get reborn in episodic format: Telltale proved that it’s a successful strategy and now we have an indie development studio from Israel, Corbomite Games, trying the same recipe with their first episodic adventure title, Pizza Morgana. The first episode in the upcoming series, titled Pizza Morgana – Episode 1: Monsters and Manipulations in The Magical Forest, will be released on August 16 this year.

Promising to be a “comedy title like nothing you’ve seen before,” Pizza Morgana will tell the story of the young girl Jackie who finds herself teleported into a fantasy world filled with demons, monsters and faeries – who all happen to work as pizza delivery guys. However, Corbomite did not tell us what our quest will be (to turn the monsters into the beasts they should be? To get home? To see how much pizza we can eat?) but I am sure more details will follow and we’ll have a better idea on Pizza Morgana before it’s released.

“We’ve worked hard to bring this creative, and unique episodic adventure to life,” said Oded Sharon, CEO of Corbomite Games. “Comedy is at the core of Pizza Morgana, where the worlds of pizza delivery, daemons, and faeries collide with hilarious consequences. We’re sure fans of the Pizza Morgana series, and especially girls will find the outrageous situations and interactions incredibly fun.”

Another pleasant surprise is that the developers have managed to sign two big names to do some voice acting: Claudia Christian and Robin Atkin Downes, both stars of the successful Babylon 5 series. So at least the plans are great when it comes to Pizza Morgana – Episode 1: Monsters and Manipulations in The Magical Forest!
