Killing Floor Gets Free Heavy Metal Pack

Killing Floor Gets Free Heavy Metal Pack

killing-floorOwners of the cool Killing Floor game developed by Tripwire should be really happy to hear that some freebies will soon head their way. I’m talking about a free update (presented by Tripwire as the “first of many”) that adds a new map, new weapons and new functionality. This free pack is titled “Heavy Metal” and we’ll see why below.

The new map introduced to Killing Floor is titled Foundry and, as the name suggests, is set in an old iron works transformed into a secret military base. Your job will be that to get in, destroy all the ugly monsters in there and return to normal life.

In order to make your job easier, the Heavy Metal pack will introduce two new weapons: the classic AK-47 and the Japanese Katana. Pretty cool, huh?

In addition to this free update, Tripwire will be releasing the first paid DLC character pack for Killing Floor very soon. This character pack adds four new playable characters including a Horzine foundry worker and a soldier in prototype Horzine body armor, but we’ll talk more about that after we get used with the new Heavy Metal content and, of course, after we have some extra details.
