ea-sports-activeElectronic Arts announced that their Wii Fit adversary, EA Sports Active, will be available for purchase starting May 2009. According to previous reports, this fitness title from Electronic Arts will deliver a more “Western” approach to the whole “keeping fit” process, which means that it’ll be more about sweating and actually doing exercises rather than taking care of your balance and coordination. And I can completely dig that.

EA have worked with Bob Greene to develop this title (Bob Greene is a fitness coach known for the Best Life and for working with Oprah), but there are still few details about what we’ll be supposed to do, actually. It also appears that the Balance board will not be a must in order to play EA Sports Active, but we’re not sure of that either.

And while I’m waiting for more details on the upcoming title, I’ll go grab a sandwich, to make sure that I have something to burn when it hits stores this May.
