atlus-logoUnfortunately, Atlus’ official website was reported yesterday to have been hacked and infected with a Trojan, so if you are one of the people who visited the website during that period, you’d better read on.

According to a report from Joystiq, the game publishers revealed that somebody attacked their website and embedded a Trojan there, one that probably got transferred to your computer if you visited the website.

It is not known who hacked the Atlus website, but all those who visited it are urged to scan their computer with a malware removal software: according to the company, the biggest exposure to the virus was for those who visited the site 9AM and 2.30PM PST on Friday.

“The faith and trust of our fans is of the utmost importance to us, a responsibility we don’t take lightly,” the publisher said in a statement, hoping probably that something like that won’t happen anytime soon.
