altair-assassins-creedAltair is still taking swimming lessons for the anticipated release of Assassin’s Creed II which is still under development, but Ubisoft is already working on the third game in the Assassin’s Creed series! Game developers, just like Valve, probably started to think that if EA can do it, anybody can. And should. Which is not particularly correct.

Either way, back to the development of Assassin’s Creed III, the confirmation comes from Ubisoft’s Associate Producer Vincent Pontbraind, via IncGamers. According to the website, when asked if the folks over at Ubisoft are thinking about the next game in the series, he said: “Yes, of course!” But also added that the idea is not yet there: The key thing is that it has to be a pivotal moment in history, it has to be something that changes something and humanity in the world,” he said. “It can’t be before the original Assassin’s Creed, but it could be between the original and Assassin’s 2.”

Also, talking about Assassin’s Creed II, he said that we should also expect downloadable content for the upcoming game. Typical and disgusting – talking about future games in the franchise and further milking of an upcoming product. A product we barely have some details about! Where’s this world heading to?
