gta-v-393-600Grand Theft Auto V returns to the top of the UK All Formats Chart, notching only its fifth week in first place.

GTA V’s somewhat lack of activity at the top of the chart is quite surprising considering it holds the records for being the fastest-selling game within a 7 day period and being the best-selling game in the UK.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare drops down to second place, which has held the top spot for six weeks since its launch. In another week with no new releases, FIFA 15, which has managed 8 weeks in first, holds onto third place. Similarly, Far Cry 4 stays in fourth.

The Crew climbs a place to fifth, swapping places with Assassin’s Creed: Unity, which drops to sixth.

Minecraft climbs the charts in both its’ Xbox and PlayStation Editions. The PlayStation Edition jumps four spots to seventh, with the Xbox Edition up two to eighth.

Destiny tumbles down to ninth, whilst the Top 10 is rounded off this week by Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Elsewhere in the charts, the big mover is Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which climbs from 27th to 11th thanks to a sales boost from the Unity/Black Flag Xbox One hardware bundle.

The UK All Formats Chart Top 10 (Week ending 10th January 2015) is as follows:

1. (2) Grand Theft Auto V
2. (1) Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
