FIFA 14FIFA 14 continues its run as the UK’s Number One game, holding the crown for the third week running.

The result means that the game has equalled its predecessor’s total weeks on top with six. Chart Track does note however that FIFA 14 has had a 21% boost in sales from those of FIFA 13.

Also of note is Grand Theft Auto V, which stays in fifth this week, has become the fourth best-selling game ever in the UK, with Chart Track giving a prediction that if the sales for the game stay strong it could become the best-selling game ever (UK) by the time March rolls around.

With this being the third week running without any new releases, rather understandably there is little change in the charts this week. Call of Duty: Ghosts holds second, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag stays third and Battlefield 4 keeps fourth place warm.

In fact the only change in the Top 10 sees Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition leapfrog Just Dance 2014 into eighth this week.

The UK All Formats Chart Top 10 (Week ending 4th January 2014) is as follows:

  1. (-) FIFA 14
  2. (-) Call of Duty: Ghosts
  3. (-) Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag
  4. (-) Battlefield 4
  5. (-) Grand Theft Auto V
  6. (-) Need for Speed: Rivals
  7. (-) LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
  8. (9) Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition
  9. (8) Just Dance 2014
  10. (-) Gran Turismo 6

Let’s hope that some new releases come in to shake up the charts soon.
