castle-crashersThe 2008 Xbox Live Arcade Awards “ceremony” is over and the Game of the Year was decided: according to Microsoft, that is The Behemoth’s mega-hit Castle Crashers. Not a very big surprise, even though the little game had some solid competition on XBLA.

Still, the game won three awards, as voted by the players: Best Co-op Mode and Best Original Game awards, as well as Game of the Year.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD also won three awards, none of which for the longest and strangest name of a remake. However, it did with awards for Best Remake, Best Versus Mode, and Best Graphics – all of which fully deserver, right?

Oh, and the other winners were: A Kingdom for Keflings (Best Family Game), Braid (Best Innovation), and Portal: Still Alive (Best Single Player).
