GTA OnlineRockstar is currently looking into an issue encountered by some GTA V players on PS4 and Xbox One which is preventing them from transferring over their save from the previous gen versions of the game.

People should be able to transfer their GTA Online characters from the Xbox 360 or PS3 to the Xbox One and PS4 versions, however Rockstar explained in a post on their support page that the issue is related to players who have not used their online character since 2013.

When some of these players try and transfer their characters they are met with the following message:

“No previous Grand theft Auto Online data is associated with your Social Club account.”

Going back to the game on PS3 or Xbox 360 is also met with an issue, with players then told the Rockstar services are unavailable.

Rockstar replied to the issue, assuring people that they are looking for a fix. They said: “We are looking into an issue preventing character transfer and GTA Online login on accounts that haven’t played GTA Online since 2013.

“If you would like to receive an automatic email notification as soon as there is more information, please log into the Support Site and click Subscribe at the top of this page. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, and thanks for your patience.”

GTA V launched on the PS4 and Xbox One on Tuesday. You can follow this guide from Rockstar to transfer your online progress across.
