Unity found itself only 16,000 units behind Call of Duty, despite Advanced Warfare suffering a 77% drop in sales, according to Chart Track. This years’ Assassin’s Creed did however manage to beat the launch week sales of its predecessor, Black Flag, which appeared initially on Xbox 360 and PS3 last year.
Sales for the game were split by 52% on PS4, 46% on Xbox One and 2% on PC; Chart Track does not count downloads in their chart.
Assassin’s Creed also makes an appearance in sixth place this week, with the last-gen getting their own game: Assassin’s Creed: Rogue. Had the sales of the two games been combined, then it would have seen Advanced Warfare knocked off the top.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection enters the chart in third place, and becomes the biggest launch for a Microsoft published game on the Xbox One, and seventh biggest launch for the console.
FIFA 15 drops down to fourth place this week, as the Top 10 fills with new releases. In fifth place this week is LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, which given the competition, unsurprisingly does not manage to equal the first place its predecessor managed back in 2012.
Down a spot to seventh is Minecraft: PlayStation Edition, despite a rise in sales of 79% thanks to the release of the PS Vita version of the game. This version does however manage the feat of being the biggest release of Minecraft on a PlayStation console, beating the launch week sales of both the PS3 and PS4. It is also the third biggest launch on the Vita, only beaten by console launch titles ‘Uncharted: Golden Abyss’ and ‘FIFA Football’.
Entering the charts in eighth is Pro Evolution Soccer 2015. World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor debuts in ninth place, with the lack of downloads being counted surely affecting its position.
Rounding off the Top 10 this week is Destiny, which drops five places.

Some big releases next week, and it will be interesting to see how Assassin’s Creed: Unity copes given the negative response to it. We have GTA V getting its release on PS4 and Xbox One, which will likely come out on top, but expect Dragon Age: Inquisition and Far Cry 4 to shake things up as well.
Also getting a release and could feature in the Top 10 are Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, which gets its PS3 and Xbox 360 release, WWE 2K15, which comes out on PS4 and Xbox One as well as Watch Dogs on Wii U, Escape Dead Island and Sonic Boom. Expect a number of changes next week again.
