alan-wake-screen-newAlan Wake, initially considered the most anticipated PC game of 2009, might not come to PC users at all because Remedy is focusing 100% on the Xbox 360 version. Although the exact details about this sudden and strange change of plans are not known (after all, we ALL knew that Alan Wake was coming to PCs since it was announced four years ago), it seems that Microsoft has the answer. Or the decision, to be precise.

Talking with Alan Wake fansite Brightfalls (via 1UP), a Remedy rep said that “Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and would love to see a PC version available to its PC followers, ultimately however this decision lies with our publisher.” And the publisher is, yes, Microsoft.

However, it seems that a simultaneous release in Spring 2010 is impossible. “It’s safe to say that at least a simultaneous launch with the Xbox version will not happen at this late stage,” confirmed the rep. And I don’t like that “at least” thing…

But let’s hope that Microsoft has some deep love and respect for the PC gamers community and they will decide to give us Alan Wake, too. After all, they have just announced the decision to share the amazing Project Natal with PC users, so anything is possible!
