Finding Mircosoft’s Xbox One might be an excruciating task for people, which is why Xbox Live’s director of programming Major Nelson has outlined a few tips on Xbox Wire on how to find a console this holiday.
Here are his four tips:
- Sign up for email newsletters and alerts from your favorite retailers and follow them on Twitter and Facebook for real-time updates.
- Call your local retailers to find out which day of the week they receive shipments. You can check in each week to see if they have new stock.
- Use retailers’ online stock checkers to find a store with Xbox One in stock near you, although we recommend calling to confirm.
- Check with stores outside of densely populated areas – you may have more luck in smaller locations.
He has also provided links to tracking sites XboxOneLocator, and NowInStock, which are reasonable good at keeping track on these types of things. The console, however, is currently in stock at Amazon but they’ll most likely be sold out in a few hours so consumers should act quick.
Xbox One has officially sold 1 million units worldwide and has outsold it’s predecessor, Xbox 360 by a considerable amount.
