Wizards of the Coast announced the next version of the video game version of the popular card game Magic: The Gathering would be released on Xbox One, Xbox Live Arcade, on the PC through Steam, iPad through the App Store, Android through GooglePlay and on Kindle through Amazon Marketplace. For the first time since the games appeared back in 2009, the latest version of the Duels of the Planeswalkers will not be made available for PlayStation owners.
Magic 2015 will focus around Garruk Wildspeaker as he shifts his sights from hunting beasts of the wild and instead decides to hunt down the player.
The game will include a number of new features, such as the ability to build a custom deck, additional booster packs will be added along with premium downloadable content and the promise of a more robust deck builder.
As with the previous entries into the series, Magic 2015 is being developed by Stainless Games, who are also known for Carmageddon.
Magic 2015: Duels of the Planeswalkers will be available to play for those going to PAX East in Boston this weekend at the Magic: The Gathering booth.
To whet your appetite for the game, a teaser trailer has been released, along with the tagline “Hunt Bigger Game” in relation to going up against Garruk.
