During Apple’s iPhone press event earlier today, Chair Entertainment announced the 3rd entry in the Infinity Blade series. Infinity Blade 3 will be available in the App store on September 18 for only $7. It will utilize the iPhone 5S’ new 64-bit A7 chip and OpenGL ES 3.0. It will, quote unquote “once again completely redefine the boundaries of mobile gaming.”

“We’re so proud of Infinity Blade III and feel it not only offers a powerful finale to the series, but also gives mobile gaming another giant push forward,” Donald Mustard, Chair Entertainment co-founder and creative director, said in a statement.

Infinity Blade 3 will tell a narrative of “honor, love, betrayal, and redemption.” People will be able to play as hero Siris and a female warrior-thief called Isa. Both characters will have unique combat skills and styles and hundreds of collectible weapons and items.

The franchises has been able to sell roughly 30 million units to date. Infinity Blade: Dungeons, which was announced in an Apple iPad event, was canceled this year. The 3rd entry will also run on Unreal Engine. The game will also contain 45 minutes worth of cut scenes. Players will also have more freedom than ever to tackle on missions. In Siris’ new base The Hideout, players will able to select through a world map the specific fortresses they want to assault. This is a huge contrast between the single major playable location in both IB 1 and 2.

Infinity Blade 3 will be available on iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 4s,iPhone 4, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, iPod Touch 5, and iPod Touch 4.
