Just a little while before Gamescom, Infinity Ward decided to post a short teaser for Call of Duty: Ghosts, one that confirms Squad Mode in the game. Of course, being a teaser, the “announcement” does nothing but give us more reasons to debate on how will this actually work. And probably we won’t know for sure until Gamescom.

Either way, the announcement was made via a short, 7 second video posted on Twitter by Infinity Ward’s executive producer Mark Rubin (you can check out the video for yourself here).

As you can see – also in the screenshot captured in the upper left corner, we clearly have “Squads” as an online play mode, with menu tabs “Online Play” and “Options” available, and one intentionally blurred. It’s a short word, so it could by “Squad” – a sort of squad management thing, or it could be anything else.

I guess that we have to boil a little before we find out more details about the Call of Duty: Ghosts squad mode and our bet is that Gamescom will be the place where Infinity Ward will come with the details.
