Wii U Outsells PS3 And Xbox 360 In Japan

Nintendo’s struggling Wii U has managed to outsell both the PS3 and Xbox 360 this week, according to Media Create sales (via Gematsu).

The recent release of Wii Party U provided a significant boost for their console, moving it up to 38,000 units sold which is a huge jump from last week’s 2,000 units. The 3DS however has remained to be the best selling piece of hardware in Japan yet again, with over 88,000 units sold across the two hardware SKUs available (3DS and 3DS LL). Pokemon X and Y has also managed to be the best selling game again in Japan as well, with over 162,00 units sold. The game has sold over 2,700,000 units worldwide since its launch back in October.
