Originally available only for arcade systems, Tekken 6 will make its way to Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles in Fall 2009, as Namco Bandai announced this morning at the Tokyo Game Show 2008. It’s worth noting that once again the PlayStation 3 “former exclusives” list is growing, with Tekken 6 joining Final Fantasy XIII, Devil May Cry 4 and Virtua Fighter 5. What a hit!

We don’t have too many details on the console version of the game, but we do know that we’ll see the return of many familiar faces, as well as brand new characters (probably Lars Alexanderson and Alisa Boskonovich are part of it) each equipped, of course, with its own deadly technique.

We’ll also be presented with a deeper character customization option and a fully enhanced hand-to-hand combat system. Also, online play will be a multi-platform option, so Tekken 6 will bring us a pulse-pounding edge-of-your-seat experience with bone jarring punches and gut wrenching grapples, for the first time on Xbox 360 consoles too.
