BlizzCon 2013, Blizzard Entertainment’s seventh meetup, will be hitting the Anaheim Convention Centre in Anaheim, CA for two days this November. On Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9, Blizzard fans from all over the world will be gathering to celebrate all things Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft.

Mike Morhaime, CEO  and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, said during the announcement: “BlizzCon gives us a chance to connect with our players and share our latest projects in a very personal way. Members from all of our gaming communities have helped make this event bigger and better every time, and we look forward to meeting up and celebrating with them in November.”

Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to take part in a number of events, including:

  • Hands-on play time with Blizzard titles
  • In-depth discussion panels with Blizzard game developers and artists
  • Competitive and casual tournaments
  • Community contests, complete with prizes
  • Exclusive Blizzard merchandise commemorating the event
  • The global finals for Blizzard eSports, featuring the top players worldwide

More activities will be announced as the event draws nearer. The previous BlizzCon held in Anaheim in October 2011 featured such events as the World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria expansion announcement, and a closing concert by the Foo Fighters. If surprises like these are any indication of what Blizzard may have in store, then fans should definitely try to attend. Anyone who wants to join in the festivities should try and book as soon as possible, however, because tickets for the 2011 convention sold out in seconds.
