Now this is some news! According to recent rumors and leaks from the court case between Interplay and Bethesda, the developers of Fallout 3 are apparently working on an Elder Scrolls MMO game for quite some time – and everything was kept a secret until now!
The court filling from Bethesda claims that the company is working on a “World of Warcraft type MMO” and website VG247 claims to be “very reliably informed” that the game is no other than an Elder Scrolls MMORPG that’s been in development since 2006. If true, could this be one of the best kept secrets in recent times?
The court filling states that “tens of millions of dollars” have been invested in the development of the game and there are close to 100 people working on it. Bethesda, however, declined to comment the story – which means that they didn’t deny it as they did in the past!
Even more, to add some fuel to the fire, recently an Oblivion fansite discovered that Bethesda has registered the domain elderscrollsonline.com, which might as well be an extra hint that the rumors regarding the existence of an Elder Scrolls MMORPG are true. If so, I certainly wish it was released sooner rather than later!
