The next game in the Assassin’s Creed saga has been revealed by a GameStop placeholder artwork and certainly quite a few fans of the franchise will be happy. The game will be titled Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and it will be a direct sequel to this year’s release, continuing Enzio’s adventures.

Here’s what the text above the artwork (you can check it out by clicking on the thumbnail for a bigger and better image):

“Live and breathe as Ezio, now a legendary master assassin, in his struggle against the Templar order. Lead your own brotherhood of Assassins and strike at the heart of the enemy. Rome.

And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style.

A never-before-seen online multiplayer experience. Lead your own brotherhood of assassins, as Ezio, and conquer Rome.”

The game will add multiplayer modes and apparently those who pre-order Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood from GameStop will get a free skin. The game will be released this Fall and, just to make sure that everything is clear, this is not Assassin’s Creed 3 – Ubisoft will release it in Fall 2011. But I’m sure that pretty soon we’ll lose track of all these details.
