Runescape is one of the most popular MMORPGs out there and the tons of fans this game has all over the world will certainly be delighted to hear that an amazing expansion has just been launched: the Clan Citadels is now launched, ready to take Runescape to a new level!

The main change that was brought in by Clan Citadels was the introduction of flying citadels for clans with five or more Runescape members.

Clan Citadels are set to break the mould for group gaming in MMOs by offering players unmatched customisation and freedom to create user-generated multiplayer content. Clans choose from four initial Citadel layouts and propel their Citadel into glorious sunshine or perpetual night. Players then have unrestricted customisation options for their castle keep, and can add a range of banners and flags, flying the colours of their clan for all to see: something that certainly makes Runescape a source of inspiration for other MMOs as well!

But Clan Citadels is not all about castles for clans! According to the developers, the centerpiece of today’s expansion is actually a new feature called clan battlefields, allowing players to generate their own combat scenarios and even multiplayer games. From here to huge large scale battles between clans is just a matter of dedication!
