01 witcher wild huntThe Witcher III: Wild Hunt has held off competition from Splatoon to claim its second week at number one of the UK All Formats Chart.

Despite coming second this week, Splatoon has managed to become the biggest ever launch of a new IP on the Wii U, overtaking Zombi U. It also claims the fifth fastest-selling title on Nintendo’s console.

Grand Theft Auto V and FIFA 15 enjoy a rise in sales this week, with GTA getting an 8% rise and FIFA a healthy 51% rise, according to Chart Track. Both games hold their positions in third and fourth, respectively.

Farming Simulator 15 falls three places in its second week, and finds itself in fifth this week.

Battlefield: Hardline is another game which enjoys a healthy week of sales, and is up one place to sixth. Project: CARS drops again, down two places to seventh.

Destiny manages a rise again, up two places to eighth, and Minecraft re-enters the Top 10, with the Xbox Edition up three places to 10th.

Mortal Kombat X is the other game in the Top 10, down a spot to ninth.

Elsewhere a few other games enjoy a half-term sales boost, with Far Cry 4 up four places to 14th and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham up five to 19th.

No new releases next week. The Witcher should hold on for another week, but it will be interesting to see how Splatoon holds on.
