classic-controller-proNintendo’s official Japanese website has unveiled a new design of the classic controller, beautifully and originally named Classic Controller PRO. Although information at this moment is pretty scarce and my knowledge of Japanese language is somewhere at zero, it appears that the new controller will not replace the old ones, but simply coexist and try to make their lives more difficult.

From the image posted by Nintendo (you can see it in the upper left corner), we can obviously note some of the new features: more spacing between the joysticks, extra buttons and new handle grips. It also appears to have “communication capabilities” with the Wiimote and overall, a simple look.

We’re still waiting for Nintendo to officially announce it in English and we’ll update you as soon as they do so.
