According to various reports in Japan, Nintendo teamed up with a Japanese advertising firm (Dentsu) to develop this service which is slated to kick off sometime in 2009. As you can imagine, the general level of detail on the matter is pretty low at the moment, but I’m sure Nintendo will offer us more details when the time is right.
“Nintendo and Dentsu shall use the environment surrounding the Wii so that living rooms with Wii-ready TVs would become more of a fun area for communication among families and friends,” a joint statement reads.
What do you say? Is this the right move from Nintendo or the market already has enough with similar services from Sony and Microsoft?
