indyLast week I brought you word about the upcoming game featuring the renowned archaeologist Indiana Jones, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings. Today I have even more better news, as LucasArts announced that the Wii version of the game will also come packed with a free copy of the classic adventure Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, one of the cult classic point and click adventure games, was originally released by LucasArts in 1992 using the Scumm engine – of course, for PC systems only. So I must admit that I’m a bit surprised to hear that the game will get a free Wii release. I’m even more curious to find out if it will come with improved visuals and motion sensitive control support. However, one thing is clear: you’re not going to receive the original computer game on a diskette (remember them?)

Also, this means that the Wii version of the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings will also be the more popular one, since LucasArts have no intention to offer Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis to those who purchase the DS, PSP or PS2 versions of the game.
