Obviously, there are still a lot of people who believe that Duke Nukem Forever won’t be released ever just for the joke to be continued, but apparently the s***t gets real: Gearbox Software confirmed that Duke Nukem Forever will be released on May 3, 2011 in the US and May 6 in Europe. Were you expecting a date so close this year?
Game Informer managed to dig up the info and share it with the world: “The moment fans all over the world have been waiting for is almost here,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “May 3, 2011 marks Duke’s return as he unleashes his brash and brutally honest wit on the world. His return is going to be epic and one that will make video gaming history!”
Let’s hope that these words are true enough to deliver something we’ve been waiting for so many year. Of course, having in mind that it’s over a decade since the original Duke Nukem Forever was announced, many will not be satisfied, but as long as the game won’t be a total flop, I think it will be great.
