Now that the year has almost ended, it’s time for your regular GOTY awards, retrospectives and moments of glory for the best games released this year. However, some of the glory and popularity of these successful games is certainly not one that will please the developers and publishers – as it stands for Call of Duty: Black Ops or virtually any other title that can be found on Torrent Freak’s list of the most pirated games of 2010.

Released in November 2010, the latest CoD game was downloaded by more than 4,270,000 people since launch (with private tracker data being incomplete, so the numbers are even bigger!), while the second place is held by Battlefield: Bad Company 2 with almost 4 million downloads. But here are the top 5 most pirated PC games of 2010, according to TorrentFreak:

1. Call of Duty: Black Ops – 4,270,000 downloads
2. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 – 3,960,000 downloads
3. Mafia 2 – 3,550,000 downloads
4. Mass Effect 2 – 3,240,000 downloads
5. Starcraft II – 3,120,000 downloads
