There is a new limited time job that came out of nowhere in Mafia Wars, Silence Don Romo, most likely to promote the upcoming Italy in the game. Read on to find out all the details about the new Silence Don Romo special event that is only available until Saturday, October 16th.

If you click the Choose Job button, you can select one of the three available jobs that have different effects:

– Pay Off Local Officials: 5 minutes, 20% chance of Rare Silence Don Romo Collectible or Event Item
– Recruit an Assassin: 8 hours, 50% chance of Rare Silence Don Romo Collectible or Event Item
– Take out his Bodyguards: 24 Hours, 100% chance of Rare Silence Don Romo Collectible or Event Item

Except for the “fight” missions, there are two other things you must complete in order to finish the Silence Don Romo event: Earn the Pasta Collection (more about this in a future post) and earn the Boss of Bosses Achievement.

How to earn the Boss of Bosses Achievement? Simply have 100% job mission for the Italian Job and complete the Pasta Collection.

I have started with the 5 minutes job and plan to do quite a few of these in order to hopefully get more items for the collection but then switch to the 24 hour job and use the 8h when I know I can log in. All in all, a new event this Silence Don Romo in Mafia Wars!
