Onyxia, the Brood Mother, the dragon that terrorized the World of Warcraft players in the past, will be revamped and brought back to the lands of Azeroth by the Blizzard team in order to celebrate five years of World of Warcraft. And now that you think about it, it seems like it’s been a lifetime since the game was released, isn’t it right?
Now back to Onyxia, the dragon will be introduced by the upcoming World of Warcraft patch 3.2.2. Here is the official description of all the plans regarding the Brood Mother:
This permanent update to Onyxia will convert the dungeon into a normal 10-player mode and a Heroic 25-player model. We will be adding new items to Onyxia’s loot table that have the same model as some of the classic loot from this dungeon, like Tier 2 helms, with stats updated to match the current level of content. There will be a special new item too: a normal drake-sized 310% speed flying mount modeled after Onyxia herself called an Onyxia Broodling. We will also be updating the encounter mechanics to be more fitting for modern raiding, but we can guarantee players will get to experience the frightening horror of deep breaths once again.
Then for a limited time, after the 5-year anniversary event officially begins in November, anybody who logs in will receive an Onyxia Brood Whelpling pet. Sounds really cool!
