Finally, one of the biggest questions you have regarding Skyrim, is going to be answered! And I am talking here about the “Will my PC be able to run Skyrim” question, because, yes, Bethesda has decided to reveal the system requirements for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. So let’s not waste any time and check out both the minimum as well as recommended system requirements for Skyrim!

Minimum System Requirements

– Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
– Processor: Dual Core 2.0GHz or equivalent processor
– 2GB System RAM
– 6GB free HDD Space
– Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 512 MB of RAM
– DirectX compatible sound card
– Internet access for Steam activation

Recommended System Specifications

– Windows 7/Vista/XP PC (32 or 64 bit)
– Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
– 4GB System RAM
– 6GB free HDD space
– DirectX 9.0c compatible NVIDIA or AMD ATI video card with 1GB of RAM (Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 or higher; – ATI Radeon 4890 or higher).
– DirectX compatible sound card
– Internet access for Steam activation

These are some really low requirements and hopefully this won’t mean that we’re going to get an outdated game. 6GB for a game like Skyrim seems awfully low, if we are to judge the required HDD space of the recently released RAGE, for example, which was at 18GB… However, this is definitely some good news for those who can’t wait to get their hands on the game and play it without upgrading their computers!
