Shadow of Mordor arrives in second, and gains the honour of the best launch for a game set in the Lord of the Rings universe. Sales for the game were split with 56% on PS4, 41% on Xbox One and 3% on PC, according to Chart Track (note that they do not count digital downloads in their chart).
Forza Horizon 2 has to settle for third place this week, with the Xbox One version comfortably beating the 360 version with a split of 73%/27% in the One’s favour.
Finally, Super Smash Bros. launch on the 3DS manages to debut in fourth place, and pushes Destiny down to fifth place this week.
Minecraft hit the PS4 at retail this week, and gives the game a rise in sales of 176% and pushed to PlayStation Edition up to sixth.
Disney Infinity 2.0 drops down to seventh this week, with the Xbox Edition of Minecraft dropping to eighth.
Call of Duty: Ghosts and The Sims 4 round off the Top 10 this week, coming in at ninth and 10th, respectively.
Elsewhere in the charts the other new release, Crimes & Punishments: Sherlock Holmes, enters the chart in 27th place.
