Guide to FarmVille 2 Expansions: Requirements and Unlocks
FarmVille 2 comes with a new approach to expansions for our farms, somewhat similar to those of CityVille or the more recently released ChefVille. This means that we can purchase or unlock new lots of land for our farm, which become instantly available and which also give us some interesting rewards (like unlocks for new animals or crops or even brand new buildings with cool features attached to them). Therefore, I have decided to create this guide to the FarmVille 2 expansions and tell you everything about the requirements and unlocks of these new expansions.
So let’s not waste any time and let’s check out the FarmVille 2 expansions guide. You can also look at the image in the upper left corner, courtesy of Zynga, for the exact areas of the expansions (numbered)!
Expansion 1 – Original land you start out with in the game – comes free when you start playing FarmVille 2!
Expansion 2 – Feed Mill
Cost: 175 Coins to Clear Land
Unlocks: Feed Mill
Expansion 3 – Family Well
Cost:
o Have 4 Eggs from feeding your chickens
o Pay 1000 Coins to clear land
Unlocks: Water Well
Expansion 4 – The Farmstead Kitchen
Cost:
o Reach Level 5
o Have 5 Trees (skip for 5 Farm Bucks)
o Gather 6 Milk Bottles (skip for 6 Farm Bucks)
o 2000 Coins to Clear Land (skip for 10 Farm Bucks)
Unlocks: Ability to craft recipes in the Kitchen
Expansion 5 – West Meadow
o Reach Level 8
o Craft 2 Apple Scones for Marie (skip for 11 Farm Bucks)
o Gather 5 Garden Clippers from friends (buy for 10 Farm Bucks)
o 20,000 Coins to clear land (skip for 30 Farm Bucks)
Unlocks: Cottontail Rabbits
Expansion 6 – Milk Meadow
o Reach Level 11
o Expand to adjacent land
o Have 11 Adult Animals (skip this for 17 Farm Bucks)
o Gather 7 Iron Hoes (buy for 14 Farm Bucks)
o 50,000 Coins to Clear Land (skip for 50 Farm Bucks)
Unlocks: Longhorn Cows, extra Water Trough
Expansion 7 – Playground Patch

So there are quite a few expansions available already and I am sure it will take us some time before we’ll have them all unlocked for free – because our goals should be that of expanding without spending real money on it!
