The system will work with digital credits, wherein a user can send in a game to add money to their online account. Green Man Gaming have stressed that their system is instantaneous, with users getting credited before they actually send the physical game off. They have however implemented a charge back system via Pay Pal that ensures users don’t engage in fraudulent behaviour. If a game isn’t received within ten days of an account being credited, this charge back policy is enforced.
With the credits gained from trading in Xbox 360 and PS3 games, users will be able to purchase PC digital games, as well as console games, next gen consoles and console peripherals. This marks the company’s first foray into the physical retail world.
Green Man Gaming have stated that the service will be exclusive to the UK for the time being, but they do have plans to allow international users of the site to trade in games as well.
