Activision will probably be not too happy to hear that Scratch: The Ultimate DJ will be released before their upcoming DJ Hero, but life’s hard sometimes, even for the big publishers. It appears that in this particular case it’s even harder, since the rhythm game from 7 Studios will deliver 60 original and licensed tracks from the most popular hip-hop and R&B artists – and that’s just the beginning, probably!
Among the artists teased to be featured in the upcoming release (the game is set to hit the store shelves this summer) we have Run DMC, The Gorillaz, Nelly and Deltron 3030, but we have no idea with what songs. However, we do know that the following tracks will be included in Scratch: The Ultimate DJ:
– Flashing Lights- Kanye West
– Intergalactic- Beastie Boys
– Let’s Get it Started- The Black Eyed Peas
– Slacker- Tech N9ne
– Don’t Sweat the Technique- Eric B. and Rakim
Also, among other top artists, Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys will be featured in the game with tracks from his upcoming disc. Actually, 7 Studios have worked closely with him, who provided creative and technical input for the game. So at least virtually we’ll have some real hip hop, because in real life things have gone completely mad.
