chris-kluweI’m sure we all appreciate hardcore game fanatics and we all appreciate them for making us wonder every now and then how far is too far. Still, amazing things related to video games will always happen – and not only anonymous people can be involved, as we are to see today. Oh, no – even super rich superstars can kind of lose their minds when it comes to gaming.

Take Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe as an example: he’s an avid gamer and a renowned Guitar Hero player. Also, he is a hardcore World of Warcraft fan. Actually, he loves the game so much that he might even change his last name to “Warcraft”. And at the moment I can’t predict if such a change would make his opponents fear him a lot more or just laugh their brains out.

According to a Game Politics report, Kluwe said: “Back when [Bengals receiver] Chad Johnson changed his name to Ocho Cinco, I told the guys at [radio station] 93X that I was going to change my name to Chris ‘World of Warcraft. They said that’s too long. So they started calling me Chris ‘Warcraft.’ I could make a lot of money if I changed my name to that.”

I wonder if there are any hardcore LittleBigPlanet fans out there willing to change their names, although I’m sure some guys would prefer being called “Solid Snake”…

  1. I would never change my name just to get money. My parents would kill me. Is he that desperate for publicity thats why he is doing this? Even if he sells those jerseys in game I will not waste my wow gold on them. Why not he just make a name for himself.

  2. Why not apply or have his coach, manager whatever to have him endorse for WOW (though WoW doesn’t need to be advertised)? Changing my last name for game…for pete’s sake, my parents would have already disowned me with that thought.
