With only 5 hours left to go Megaman creator Keiji Inafune and Comcept have been able to gather over $3.5 million in funds for their Kickstarter project Mighty No. 9. First announced back at Pax Prime as a spiritual successor to Megaman, Mighty No. 9 has been funded by over 61,000 people and counting. The game had a milestone of $3.3 million for a PS4 and Xbox One version, and a $3.5 million milestone for the Vita and 3DS versions. Comcept have also been able to use Paypal as another means for funding, with over $135,000 raised through this alternative.

With 5 more hours to go Mighty No. 9 still has a couple of interesting stretch goals it could meet. For $3.7 million a single player call stage and boss will be added. For $3.8 million an optional retro-style chiptune soundtrack and fx will be added. And for $4.0 million a online battle race mode will be added.

The Kickstarter will officially come to an end today at 5:19 p.m Pacific, 8:19 p.m Eastern. A livestream will commence during the final few hours of the Kickstarter, with new details and information to be revealed by Comcept.

The project is also being developed by a handful of the original Megaman team with Keiji Inafune, the father of Megaman, directing the game.

Mighty No. 9 is now set to come out on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, Wii U, PC, Mac, Linux, 3DS, and Vita with a tentative release date of April 2015.
