modern-warfare2-screennewYesterday all hell broke loose after Infinity Ward’s community manager fourzerotwo admitted that there will be no support for modding nor dedicated servers for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Except for the obvious critique and ranting and frustration, a petition resulted – one that now holds over 70,000 signatures.

All eyes are on Infinity Ward and everybody is waiting to see how will they handle the problem, but it appears that for the moment they don’t know how to react. The only reaction was from the same fourzerotwo who simply stated on his Twitter page, after being asked about the petition:

“Definitely made a big wave, and the response will not be ignored. I’ll ensure everyone at IW sees the petitions and responses to it.”

And, as you can imagine, we’re still waiting for Infinity Ward’s answer – and the fact that it refuses to come as quick as we might want it could mean that there’s a lot of tension over there too and they’re trying to find the best solution to deal with this problem. Let’s just hope that, for once, it’s for the good of PC gaming and gamers!

  1. Not only has IW alienated the PC users with a NO-dedicated server option for the ModernWarfare2 game, but they have upset hundreds of Game Server providers who have been counting on continuing and upcoming server sales. If ever a company has shot itself in the foot, then Infinity Ward just did!

  2. infinity ward there idiots just make stupid dedicated server already you idiots don’t realize how much money you guy are losing and the obvious COD MFW 2 is way better on pc than stupid ps3 and xbox360 which the game shouldn’t;t be made for
